CES or the Consumer Electronics Show is the biggest industry event for technology is back in full swing and in person in Las Vegas. Though the show was in-person to a limited capacity last year, this will be the first in-person, full capacity CES since 2020 since the Covid pandemic.
The show is a trendsetter for the year as tech giants from the TV, laptop, car and other industries debut their newest products. Read on to get caught up with all the happenings on and what to expect from the biggest tech show of the year.
When is CES 2023?
CES 2023 takes place between January 5 and January 8, though most of the show’s biggest announcements will be revealed in the preceding two days before its official start.

LG’s Newest Generation OLED TVs Get Brighter
LG announced its lineup of 2023 TV including a 70% brigher LG G3 series TV that will sit almost completely flush against any wall. The TV maker also introduced a 30% brighter 8K TV and a follow up to the beloved LG C2 with the LG C3.
Intel Announces 13th Gen Raptor Lake Mobile Processors
Following up on debuting its 13th Gen desktop processors, the chipmaker debuted its latest 13th Gen mobile processors destined to power all of the latest laptops this year. The biggest highlight of the lineup is the new flagship Intel Core i9-13980HX, which claims to be the first 24-core laptop processor and the fastest mobile processor in the world.
Nvidia Announces RTX 4070 Ti
If you’ve been slobbering for a latest generation Nvidia graphics card but couldn’t stomach the cost of one, the new Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti may answer your prayers. Priced at $799, the RTX 4070 Ti will be the cheapest way to get Nvidia’s latest Ray Tracing tech and DLSS 3.0 when it releases on January 5th.
What to Expect From CES in 2023
If everything announced during CES 2022 is any indication, this years show should be jam packed with laptop, TV, and a few crazy concepts.
From what we already know so far, HTC has teased its first new, serious VR headset since the HTC Vive Cosmos and HTC Vive Pro 2. As ever CES has always been a big show for new TVs, so we’ll see all the latest models designed to be even better for gaming with the Xbox Series X and PS5. Intel and AMD also announce new mobile processors at CES almost annually, which is sure to drive a whole slew of new laptop announcements.
